AcadiaCon – Board Game Convention

Thanks everyone for coming out and having fun with us on a wet weekend!

Over 80 attendees this weekend helped us raise $2045 for The Gatherings community center through entrance fees, food purchases and auction winnings – thank you so much for being a part of this effort, this is a really great dent in the cost of the parking lot improvements we have planned this summer.

On Sunday, Grace from Fox ABC Maine swung by and interviewed a few of us for TV! This was such a great opportunity to let others know about board gaming in Maine and also get the community center on peoples radars… we just keep on growing! You can check out this short news clip right here:

So cool!

We’re still winding down/recovering but we’ll be in touch with auction and game winners shortly.

We had a lot of fun making this happen, and expect AcadiaCon to happen again next year… yay! What did you enjoy? What could be improved?! Please shoot us an email with some feedback!

Special thanks to those who came and helped with setup, running the kitchen and cleanup. You guys rock! A real team effort! Let us know if you might be willing to help us next time around šŸ™‚

We hope to see you here again soon! Next weekend we have a mega yard sale (5 non profits in Surry hosting yard sales, Sat 22nd from 8-12).
